Opportunity Score

Identifies cryptocurrencies worth your time to investigate.

Why This Matters For You

  1. 1
You have a life outside crypto — You can't watch charts all day. But opportunities don't wait for your schedule. We monitor the top 500 cryptocurrencies 24/7 so you don't have to. No more stepping away and missing the moment everyone talks about later.
  2. 2
Data beats emotion — Most traders lose money because they buy on hype and sell on fear. Our AI analyzes real-time market data objectively — no FOMO, no panic, just objective data. That's an edge the majority of emotional traders don't have.
  3. 3
Never miss an opportunity again — Set your alerts and go live your life. When something hits, you'll know. Quick analysis at your fingertips helps you decide in seconds whether to dig deeper or pass.
  4. 4
Your time is valuable — Hours of research compressed into a score and summary. Spend 30 seconds deciding if an opportunity deserves 30 minutes of your attention. Most won't. The ones that do? You'll be ready.

What It Measures

The Opportunity Score (0-100) identifies coins trading at significant discounts from their highs with signs of potential recovery. Higher scores indicate situations worth investigating further.

Important: The Opportunity Score helps you allocate your research time, not your money. A high score means “investigate this” — not “buy this.” Always do your own research and consider the AI analysis before making any investment decisions.

Score Tiers

80-100: High Opportunity

Significant discount with recovery signals. Worth investigating immediately. Check the AI analysis for thesis validation.

60-79: Good Opportunity

Decent discount or recovery potential. Worth monitoring. Consider adding to watchlist for alerts.

40-59: Low Opportunity

Fair value or unclear signals. May require patience or more specific catalysts to become interesting.

0-39: Not Recommended

Near highs, overvalued, or poor risk/reward. Generally not worth your research time at current levels.

Score Components

The Opportunity Score is calculated from five core components (100 points max), plus a bonus component for flash opportunities:

Discount Score

35 points max

Question: How far below the 52-week high (or ATH) is the current price?

Sweet spot: 50-70% off = 35 points

40-50% off = 31 points | 70-80% off = 28 points

30-40% off = 24 points | 80-90% off = 20 points (risky)

<10% off = 2 points (not a discount) | >90% off = 7 points (may be dead)

Value Zone Score

25 points max

Question: Where is the price within its 52-week range?

Bottom 15% of range: 25 points (extreme value zone)

15-25% = 22 points | 25-35% = 18 points | 35-45% = 14 points

45-55% = 10 points | 55-85% = 2-5 points | 85-100% = 0 points

Recovery Score

20 points max

Question: Are there signs the coin is bouncing back?

  • 30-day momentum: +10% = 6 pts | positive = 4 pts | stabilizing = 2 pts
  • Relative Strength: top 40% vs peers = 3-5 pts
  • Above 20-day SMA: 3 pts
  • Above 50-day SMA: 2 pts
  • Close to reclaiming 200-day: 1 pt

Rapid Dislocation Score

+15 BONUS

Question: Did this coin just drop suddenly? (Flash opportunity detection)

Bonus points added on top of base score during flash drops.

Tier-adjusted thresholds (large caps drop less often):

  • Large Cap: -5% (24h) = notable | -10% = significant | -15% = extreme
  • Mid Cap: -8% (24h) = notable | -15% = significant | -25% = extreme
  • Small Cap: -12% (24h) = notable | -20% = significant | -35% = extreme

Extra points for velocity (24h vs 7d ratio) and high volume (capitulation signal).

Liquidity Score

10 points max

Question: Can you actually trade this efficiently?

Based on volume-to-market-cap ratio (healthy: 2-20%)

Minimum $100K daily volume required for meaningful score

Quality Score

10 points max

Question: Is this a legitimate, established project?

  • Large Cap (>$10B): 10 pts - Blue chip, lower risk
  • Mid Cap ($1-10B): 9 pts - Established
  • Small Cap ($100M-1B): 6 pts - Moderate risk
  • Micro Cap (<$100M): 3 pts - Higher risk

Table Indicators Explained

Beyond the Opportunity Score, the table shows several technical indicators to help you assess each coin:

RS 1M (Relative Strength - 1 Month)

0-100 percentile

What it measures: How this coin's 30-day performance compares to all other cryptocurrencies.

  • 90-100: Top 10% performer - Leading the market
  • 70-89: Strong momentum - Outperforming most coins
  • 50-69: Average - Performing in line with market
  • 30-49: Below average - Underperforming peers
  • 0-29: Bottom performers - Weakest momentum

Pro tip: High RS + High Discount = potential reversal candidate. The coin is beaten down but showing relative strength vs peers.

SMA Indicators (20/50/200)

Above/Below

What they measure: Whether the current price is above or below key Simple Moving Averages.

  • 20 SMA: Short-term trend (roughly 1 month of trading days). Green arrow = bullish short-term.
  • 50 SMA: Medium-term trend (roughly 2.5 months). Green arrow = bullish medium-term.
  • 200 SMA: Long-term trend (roughly 10 months). The “bull/bear” line. Green arrow = in a long-term uptrend.

Pro tip: Coins reclaiming their 20 SMA after being below often signal early recovery. Reclaiming the 200 SMA is a major bullish signal.

% High (Distance from 52-Week High)

Discount %

What it measures: How far below the 52-week high the current price sits.

  • -10% to -30%: Minor pullback - Still near highs
  • -30% to -50%: Significant correction - Getting interesting
  • -50% to -70%: Major discount - Sweet spot for opportunities
  • -70% to -90%: Extreme discount - Higher risk, research carefully

What the Score Does NOT Do

  • Predict prices — The score identifies discounted situations, not future price movements
  • Assess fundamentals — It doesn't know if a project is well-run or has a viable product
  • Guarantee returns — A high score doesn't mean you'll make money
  • Replace research — Use the AI analysis and DYOR before any decision
